Directions : All you need: 4 lbs. fish or other foods (Cut fish, poultry or meat into serving-size pieces. Shrimp should be shelled and deveined. Cut fresh vegetables into bite-size pieces); 2 beaten eggs; 3 tbsp. milk; vegetable oil or shortening. 1. Pour Cracker Meal Mix into a shallow dish or plastic bag. 2. Combine eggs and milk in a shallow bowl. Dip food into mixture. Shake off excess. 3. Roll or shake food in Cracker Meal Mix, a few pieces at a time, until evenly coated. Let stand several minutes for coating to adhere. For extra crispy coating, repeat steps above. Refer to cooking option below. Oven Fry: Cover bottom of shallow pan with melted margarine. Arrange coated fish in single layer. Turn food in margarine to coat both sides. Cook in 400 degree F oven according to chart below, turning food once. Panfry: Heat 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch oil or shortening to 350 degrees F. Add coated food and fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown on one side. Turn, reduce heat to 300 degrees F, cover and pan-fry according to chart below, turning food once. Fish or Seafood - Panfry: 8-10 minutes; Oven fry: 10-20 minutes. Chops, steaks, or boneless chicken breasts - Panfry: 15-20 minutes; Oven fry: 20-30 minutes. Bone-In chicken - Panfry: 25-30 minutes; Oven fry: 45-50 minutes. Vegetables - Panfry: 2-3 minutes; Oven fry: Not recommended.
